Identifying Forms and Conventions of Local Newspapers, To Influence My Designs So That They Are In Keeping. In This Case The News Shopper. The Most dominant in Local Newspapers is the masterhead, similar to magazines I analysed in my Foundation portfolio, The masterhead is generally positioned at the top of the page containing the name of the newspaper. Also alot of advertisements are placed on the front pages of local newspapers, this may be to attract more people to read it as well as gaining business for local businesses. There are alot of other forms and conventions such as Mid-shot images also similar to analysis from my foundation portfolio and also short articles on the fromt page followed up throughout the newspaper.
